NPDF members are cautioned to do their “due-diligence” when considering to purchase auction art work on vacation cruises. There are documented consumer complaints on the Internet alleging material misrepresentation by sales personnel who use high pressure tactics to sell often inflated art work at these on-board auctions. Similarly, members should be aware of the many restrictions and consumer protection issues when applying for one year interest free loans through Synchrony Bank. The NPDF has documented one recent member complaint to their CEO Albert Scaglione who declined to provide a formal written response to the complaint.
