MORGANVILLE, NJ, AUGUST 20, 2015: Executive Director of the National Police Defense Foundation, Joseph Occhipinti announced today that NPDF officials will be traveling to the Dominican Republic on September 2, 2015 to help secure a medical visa for four year old Ashley Ambroise who is scheduled to undergo facial reconstruction surgery. The plight of Ashley came to the attention of the NPDF Executive Director in March 2015 from an American tourist who met the child and her parents while vacationing in the Dominican Republic. Ashley was born with facial deformities and underwent several surgeries in the Dominican Republic but requires additional procedures that cannot be done in her country.  Read the Official Press Release here
