On January 13, 2014, a jury in a Santa Ana, California Superior Court acquitted former Fullerton California Police Officers’ Jay Cicinelli and Manuel Ramos from involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force in the arrest of a homeless male who resisted arrest and attacked the officers. The NPDF would like to note our public support for Officer Cicinelli and all the law enforcement officials involved in this case. Special thanks and gratitude toward to the officers legal defense team and their union in believing in the officers innocence , as well as NPDF attorney Michael Cornacchia for providing substantial legal guidance to the family. The NPDF will continue to support Officer Cicinelli in getting his job back.
