NYPD POLICE COMMISSIONER HONORS THE DONUT BOY

The Honorable Police Commissioner James O’Neill had a private conference at police headquarters to recognize 11 year old Tyler Carach who was the recipient of the 2019 NPDF Citizen of the Year award on May 1, 2019.

Tyler is nationally renowned as the “Donut Boy” who since the age of eight visited 44 states and gave over 75,000 donuts to police officers in thanks for their public service.

At this conference that was attended by a NPDF Delegation, Tyler decided to give Commissioner O’Neill Italian Pastries from the famous “Ferrara’s Bakery” from Little Italy.

Special thanks to NYPD Deputy Commissioner Joseph Reznick for arranging the meeting and our Delegate to Italy Police Sgt. Michele Mastrosimone for being a part of the NPDF Delegation.
