On May 8, 2017, the National Police Defense Foundation through its “Operation Kids” program was one of the corporate sponsors for the “Occupy the Block” party for the children of the Freehold Borough, New Jersey community to start off the summer season. This event was hosted by the YMCA Freehold and the Freehold Borough Police Department and provided entertainment for the children, along with food, drinks, ice cream and sporting events that Included playing basketball with the police officers. Special Thanks to NPDF Delegate Craig McGraw for helping to coordinate such a successful event!

On July 17, 2017 the NPDF Executive Director attended the Freehold Borough City Council meeting where the Mayor presented to the National Police Defense Foundation an award for being one of the sponsors of this event.
