Presentation by the NPDF, a memorial tribute plaque in honor of the 59 Israel Police Officers who lost their lives on October 7th, fighting the brutal Hamas terrorists

On December 13th, 2023, at the direction of Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti, National Police Defense Foundation Vice President Mike Barry, Treasurer Bob Henderson and NPDF Clergy Rabbi Harry Tzvi Berkowitz visited the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC to present Israeli Police Major General Dror Avdah with a plaque commemorating the memory of 59 Israeli Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty on October 7th, 2023, as they defended innocent attendees of a music festival in southern Israel. On that morning, armed insurgents attacked and began to slaughter innocent teenagers attending the peace festival, and only the valiant resistance put up by lightly armed Israeli Police Officers and support personnel prevented the slaughter from being much worse than it was.

These Fearless Fifty-Nine gave the last, great measure of devotion to duty, sacrificing their own lives so others could live. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for others.

The National Police defense Foundation represents national and international law enforcement, and our Safe Cop Programs offers a $10,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone who shoots or otherwise attempts to kill a police officer.
