On October 21, 2018, the National Federation of Italian-American Societies (NFIAS) presented NPDF Founder & Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti with their distinguished Law Enforcement Award at their annual awards dinner in Brooklyn, New York. The NFIAS, an IRS 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, was founded in 1964 as the first Italian-American Association in the State of New York. Director Occhipinti was recognized for his lifelong accomplishments as a federal agent and Founder of the National Police Defense Foundation. Special Thanks to the NFIAS Founder and President Emeritus Dr. Arnaldo A. Ferrara for recognizing the NPDF for their important support services to the national and international law enforcement community.
