Finally, after 30 years in the making, NPDF Founder & Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti has completed his memoirs as a federal agent, entitled “FRAMED, I Never Stood A Chance”. In his book, Joe explains why he established the National Police Defense Foundation and his efforts to help protect and support dedicated law enforcement officials nationwide.

This creative non-fiction book profiles Joe’s career as a highly decorated agent who investigated the murder of a NYPD police officer in 1988 which led to the investigation of a politically powerful drug cartel in NYC. In retribution, the cartel framed Joe on fabricated federal civil rights charges where there were no acts of alleged police brutality, racial bias or corruption.

This was a landmark prosecution, the first in American history, that outraged the American public, as well as two American presidents. On December 23, 2020, President Donald J. Trump granted Joe a “Full and Unconditional Pardon” with a personal apology for enduring his injustice.
