On October 11, 2019, NPDF officials attended the NYPD Detectives’ Endowment Association (DEA) prestigious awards dinner in New York City that honored New York Congressman Peter King and renowned actor Chazz Palminteri for their lifelong accomplishments and support for the law enforcement community. DEA President Michael J. Palladino announced his forty-year retirement from the NYPD and eighteen-year tenure with as DEA Present where he will be working for the National Police Defense Foundation as its new president. In attendance were the heads of the major police organizations, including NPDF Delegate William Schievella and President of the New Jersey Italian American Police Society who is presently a candidate for Sheriff in Morris County (NJ).
