On November 13, 2022, the NPDF Executive Director and Office Administrator were invited to help celebrate the 247th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corp at  the “Drumwacket” Governor’s Mansion in Princeton, New Jersey .

As part of the festivities, the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corp also honored the passing of  World War II Drill Sergeant Jack McGreevey (ret) who died in May 2022 at the age of 93 . It was a moving memorial ceremony recognizing his life-long accomplishments as a U.S. Marine and the support he provided over the years to the law enforcement and military communities. Sgt. McGreevey was the long-term Honorary Chairman of the National Police Defense Foundation.
