The NPDF provides critical support services to all members, as well as their immediate family, when a tragic accident or life-threatening disease victimizes their family.
On August 26, 2023, Susan Delgado, who is the daughter of NPDF Board Member NYC Correction Officer Norma Delgado (Ret), had a tragic ATV accident which left her with a broken neck and two fractured vertebrae and is now deemed permanently paralyzed from the chest down and uses a motorized wheelchair to get around.
Unfortunately, Susan’s employers’ health insurance doesn’t cover long-term living care that will eventually put her into bankruptcy.
