On February 4, 2019 the American consulate at Santo Domingo issued a five-year multiple visa to 11-year-old Elizabeth Vazquez who is battling cancer.
NPDF executive director, Joseph Occhipinti after a private meeting with the US consul general convinced him of the importance of issuing the humanitarian visa so Elizabeth can continue with her cancer treatment in the United States FOR the next three years.
