The New York Police Chiefs’ Benevolent Association (NYPCBA) honored NPDF Founder & Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti at their 2018 Awards Dinner on July 18, 2018, 6 P.M. at the Lawrence Yacht & Country Club in Lawrence, New York.
The awards presentation was attended by hundreds of police chiefs, elected officials and dignataries from around the state of New York. Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti proudly accepted the award on behalf of the National Police Defense Foundation and was inducted by the organization as their “Honorary Police Chief”
Special thanks to President Robert Caron (Port Authority Police Chief of the Department) and the entire NYCBA for recognizing Executive Director, Occhipinti for his lifelong accomplishment s in law enforcement.
The co-honorees include Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, MTA Deputy Chief Joseph Martelli, NYSPP Major Anthony Astacio, among other distinguished honorees.
The President of the NYCBA is retired Chief of the Department Robert M. Caron of the Port Authority Police of New York & New Jersey who also serves on the NPDF Board of Advisors.
