On May 24, 2017, Baby Libi attended a graduation at the Pro-Cure Cancer Center in Somerset, New Jersey where she underwent several weeks of protein cancer treatment for a rare cancer that could not be treated in Israel.  The treating oncologist seem optimistic that her cancer has gone into remission.

The NPDF’s Operation Kids involvement in this humanitarian mission started with an email request on April 22, 2017 from Thomas S. Powrie, National President of the International Police Association (IPA), U.S. Section requesting the NPDF’s assistance. The father of Baby Libi is Captain David Risin who is the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Criminal Investigations Division and active member of the IPA.

The NPDF was honored to be a part of this humanitarian mission that helped fund the lodging and conference expenses in the United States.
