MORGANVILLE, NJ, DECEMBER 5, 2016:

Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti announced today that NFL Colts Long Snapper Matt Overton will be designating the National Police Defense Foundation (NPDF) as his charity under the “My Cause My Cleats” initiative.

The Monday Night Football game will take place  December 5, 2016 at the New York Jets and Colts game at MET LIFE Stadium in New Jersey.

Director Occhipinti stated, “with much of the anti-police and patriotic rhetoric at certain athletic events, it was rewarding to get support from a real American role model like Matt Overton”.

According to published reports, Overton reportedly stated “Football has worked out so far and I’m lucky to be here, but I’m also looking at life after football,” Overton said. “Being a cop is in my family’s blood. My dad was a cop and he just retired this year. He did 31 years in law enforcement, so basically my entire life he’s been a cop. It’s a passion of mine”.

NPDF officials Executive Director, Joseph Occhipinti and Public Relations Officer, Tony Ceglio attended the game and Mr. Occhipinti presented Matt Overton with a Special Achievement Award and made him an Honorary Chairman.
