CONSUMER ADVISORY – NATIONAL SEPTEMBER 11th MUSEUM

The National Police Defense Foundation (NPDF) and Firefighters & EMS Foundation (FEF) are outraged to learn that the “National September 11th Museum” plan to charge the general public a $24 entrance fee once it opens. (Ref: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/mandatory-24-admission-fee-set-sept-11-museum-article-1.1589891)

Despite the fact there will be discounts for children, senior citizens and students, this museum should be free for the entire public in order to provide education on the negative impact of terrorism. In addition, it should be free to those who want to pay respects to their lost friends who were killed on that tragic day.

The NPDF and the FEF strongly believe that there are many museums built and run on donations, why not this one? The entrance fee also gives the impression that there will be financial gain for the museum that arose out of national tragedy.  Read the official Press Release here.
